Hotel Palazzo Montebello

FIRENZE | ITALIA

Final design, H&S services during the design and execution phases, construction supervision, assistance with testing and certification of usability.

The building, dating back to the mid-19th century, has undergone comprehensive restoration, encompassing both the main palace and the adjacent two-storey structure known as the ‘Meridiana’.
The renovation has reconfigured and enhanced the rooms, reducing their number to create larger, more spacious areas. Common spaces have been upgraded with new finishes, lighting, bespoke furnishings, and a reimagined layout featuring commercial-grade furniture.
Detailed design work was applied to the lobby, bar, and breakfast room furnishings, including a custom carpet crafted to harmonise with the existing architecture and the refreshed aesthetic.
In preserving the building’s historic charm while introducing modern updates, the renovation maintained the original marble flooring on the ground floor, wooden portals, and distinctive architectural elements such as friezes, cornices, window frames, and grilles. These features were carefully integrated with new finishes, lighting, and colour schemes to enhance their appeal while honouring the building’s heritage.
