FLORENTIA VILLAGE - SHANGHAI DESIGNER OUTLET The new Designer Outlet is located about 38 km far from Shanghai city centre, 7 km to the Pudong Airport and 9 km from Disneyland. Florentia Village-Shanghai Designer Outlet will provide a wide range of world famous luxury brands at discount prices all year around. The construction of the outlet is planned for Fall 2014.

The Centre consists of approximately 48,000 m² GFA which results in 210 retail shops, 12 restaurants, 2 bars, 2 food courts, 1 indoor playground, 1 vip lounge, 3 customer service desks and ATM points, 2 security rooms, 6 public toilets, 4 big storages, 1 canteen for the Outlet staff and 1 management office. Two large parking lots for a total of 28,000 m² can accommodate up to a maximum of 2,700 car spaces.

Shops and restaurants are part of an architectural context which refers to the Italian tradition where the spaces are deeply characterized and differentiated to get away from the cold and anonymous style that nowadays makes often the malls not distinguishable one from each other.

Completely surrounded by elegant porches and monumental colonnades, some of the squares are customized by fountains which emphasize the importance of water as a source of life and urbanization. Several paths start from the squares and develop in streets, widenings, porches and galleries until they finally rejoin, accompanying the customer on an imaginary journey through the most beautiful Italian cities.

As well as for the shapes and architectural proportions, also the materials used are typical of the Italian old style, such as antiqued roofing tiles, plasters painted with appropriate colors embellished with artistic features, moldings and decorative frames, marble balustrades and wrought iron artistic railings and cast iron street furnitures.
